Double Serrated Bread knife from Wusthof's CLASSIC collection is, in contrast to the single serrated edge, serrations within the serrations meaning that it stays sharper for longer, requires less pressure and is suitable for very precise clean cuts. Bread with a hard crust is not crushed when sliced, while bread with a soft crust is also sliced cleanly without any tearing of the delicate surface.
The knife is naturally balanced by the bolster or shoulder at the end of the blade, which also acts as a safety feature ensuring your fingers don't slip forward onto the blade and full tang (meaning fully forged from one piece of metal).
