Robert Welch Signature Hand-held Knife Sharpener

Designed to maintain the Japanese-style 15° blade edge and superior sharpness of Signature knives. Use regularly to hone the blade edge back into shape. The Signature Hand-held Knife Sharpener features a solid plastic handle with weighted non-slip base. The clear plastic guard protects the replaceable ceramic wheel, which is positioned at the optimum sharpening angle for the Signature range of knives. Hold the sharpener firmly on a flat surface and locate the heel of the blade in the sharpener between the ceramic wheel. Follow the curve of the blade, applying gentle pressure and maintaining the edge in continuous contact with the wheel. Repeat 10 to 12 times. Wash and dry knife before use after sharpening. Whilst specifically designed for use with the Signature range of knives, this hand-held knife sharpener can be used to maintain and sharpen the blade edge of other plain edge kitchen knives. Please note that serrated edge blades should not be sharpened with this product. We recommend that after 6-12 months, depending on frequency of use, you change the ceramic sharpening wheel in order to maintain your knife's cutting edge to a high standard.
