Reputedly designed by the Earl of Wharncliffe and his gamekeeper as a gutting knife. The Ettrick has a comfortable handle and short blade which makes it easy to carry and a nice general purpose pocket knife. Popular amongst wood workers and carvers.
As the handles are made from natural material, the colour and texture will vary slightly from the image shown
Arthur Wrights started in 1947 as a traditional Sheffield Pen and Pocket Knife manufacturer. All of their pocket knives are still individually hand crafted by apprentice trained Sheffield Cutlers, using methods passed down from generation to generation.
Every process from blanking out the blades and springs, hardening and tempering, assembly, grinding and glazing – right up to the final polishing are all done in house.
