This is an all-rounder, the everyday Santoku knife. The blade is handmade out of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel in, Solingen, Germany and the handle is made in the UK out of 100% plastic waste.
HANDLE: Octagonal handle made out of waste plastic. The plastic is collected, washed, shredded and melted into the handle shape. Our waste source is always changing depending on what is collected, so there can be variations in colour. No two handles will ever be the same, so yours is a one-off.
BLADE: Santoku
This is the Japanese version of a Western chef's knife. This is your all-rounder kitchen knife. Santoku translates as “three benefits” and relates to the knife's ability to slice, dice and mince.
STEEL: X50CrMoV15 (stainless steel)
This is a solid, super sharp, stainless steel. There is a knife care booklet included inside your order so you can properly maintain the blade.
